On My Tech Tours: 3-D-Printed Prosthetic Hands for Kids

One of the highlights of my year is guiding hi-tech tours of Israel. Besides being different than a regular tour, it's always neat to see cutting-edge technology before anyone else. Such is the case with the incredible Helping Hands project at the Technion, Israel's premier university for the sciences (and one of the Top 100 universities in the world). My recent tech

tour of Israel (in February) was able to visit this lab which is making incredibly cheap, personalized 3-D-printed prosthetic hands/arms for kids (see photo). And just now the story is being made public to the world. Checkout the article and the video for more on this amazing piece of technology, which they have been giving out for FREE to children in need. That's right, the only thing better than the tech are the people involved.
