The 50 Most Influential Jews of 2020

Each year for Rosh HaShana, the Jerusalem Post makes its list of the 50 most influential Jews of the year. Technically this year there are 87 people on the list of 50 but who's counting? For a fun exercise - see if you can guess them. Keep in mind that many will be based in Israel and that in order not to pick the same people every year (one could easily go down the list of Israeli cabinet members, generals and heads of major Jewish organizations to come up with a list) they will often pick people who had a major impact this year, that were trailblazers, etc. Just off the top of my head over Rosh HaShana (so without writing anything down) and keeping my guessing to 50 names, I, your trusty tour guide of Israel, managed to correctly guess only 24 of them, so don't feel bad if you don't get them all. Either way, it's a great way to get to know some of the movers and shakers and up-and-comers in the Jewish world who have left their mark this year.

I'd especially like to give a shout out to a dear friend of mine, who finally made the list - Jordana Cutler (pictured) - the head of policy for Facebook Israel and the Jewish Diaspora.

You can check out the list here:

Jordana - and many of the other people on this list - will be participating this Thursday at the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference [a who's who of Israel will be presenting], which is being streamed live online.
