I am sitting here looking at the absolutely stunning photos on the Instagram of Ayala Fishaimer and I cannot stop. Fishaimer is an Israeli wildlife photographer who has taken photos of animals all over the world, though of course, as an Israel tour guide, I am partial to the ones of animals in Israel.
Which animals might you see here? Glad you asked. Foxes, jackals, hyenas, wild boar, ibex, rock hyraxes, antelopes, deer, oryx, camels, ostriches, donkeys, sheep, goats, hedgehogs, porcupines, fire salamanders, hoopoes (our national bird), barn owls, leopards, sand cats, onagers, marbled polecats, gazelles, caracals, griffon vultures, eagles, turtles, frogs, lizards, dolphins, and nutria. Plus all the migrating birds that fly over Israel each year - Israel is one of the two best places in the world to see migrating birds. And of course we have some incredible zoos, aquariums and even a safari. Hopefully you won't see any jellyfish, sharks, snakes, bats, scorpions or various insects, but of course, they do exist as well (though it's not common to find them, except during jellyfish season).
