Ever since the cartoon The Jetsons appeared on TV back in 1962, people have been dreaming of flying cars. Of course, according to Back to the Future, we are already 5 years overdue in "not needing roads," but now there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
An Israeli company based in Yavne called Urban Aeronautics is one of a number of companies working on this concept, but they have a unique technology at their disposal.

No matter what, it is the most innovative thing to be created in Yavne since Rabbinic Judaism, following the destruction of the Temple almost 2000 years ago.
