A Hiking and Drinking Tour of Israel

Now here is a woman after my own heart. She loves to hike. She loves to drink. But what on

Earth is she thinking combining the two? As a tour guide of Israel I absolutely cannot condone this. However, if you wanted to come on an outdoor adventure in Israel with me we could absolutely combine these two things together (but you know, holding the drinking until the end of the day). One great place to do it would be in the Golan Heights. The Golan has some of Israel's most beautiful hiking trails - deep canyons, waterfalls and pools, volcanoes, wildlife and history. there is even a Golan trail which takes about 10 days to do. The Golan also happens to be home to Israel's best wineries, a brewery, fantastic olive oil, boutique chocolate and.... two of Israel's first three distilleries! That's right, we are making whisky in Israel - since 2014 don't worry, the Middle East climate is not like the Scottish highlands - things mature here a bit faster].

Imagine an incredible outdoor adventure in Israel which begins in Tel Aviv at the Milk and Honey Distiller for an introductory "lchaim," heads to the Golan for some fantastic hiking coupled with drinking stops at the Golan Heights and Pelter distilleries (and perhaps a few wineries). At the end of the trip, we head back to Tel Aviv to celebrate at the insane Whisky Bar, located in an old German Templar wine cellar, which has enough whisky to last us several lifetimes. Sounds like a fantastic adventure that this Israel tour guide would be honored to lead.
