Two years ago Israel pulled off an incredible sports coup by arranging to host the first stages of the GIro d'Italia - probably the world's premier long-distance bicycle race after the Tour de France. As a tour guide of Israel and sports lover, it was one of my favorite moments. Now they've managed perhaps an even bigger shocker...
4-time Tour de France champion Chris Froome has just signed on with a brand-new unheard of and unheralded team for next month's Tour de France. That's right, it is none other than Team Israel - officially called Team Israel Start-up Nation. Israel recently qualified and will be sending its first-ever team to the Tour de France. Four of the 30 riders on the team are Israeli. For more on the story click here:
